For Zoe and Luke, a cancelled tour, a last-minute change of plans and one unforgettable night beneath the Northern Lights came together to create a proposal neither of them could ever have imagined.

How They Met

Although Zoe and Luke attended the same high school, with Luke a couple of years ahead, they never really crossed paths beyond knowing of each other.

During Zoe's final year of school, Luke reached out and the two spent several months chatting. At the time, however, they both agreed they weren't looking for a relationship.

Three years later, fate stepped in.

After unexpectedly seeing each other while out one evening, Luke reached out once more. This time everything felt different, and what had once been simply good timing became the beginning of something much more.

The Proposal

Their engagement happened during what would become the most unforgettable holiday of their lives.

Travelling through Finland and Norway, Zoe and Luke had one goal — to experience the magic of the Northern Lights. Their tour had been booked for the following evening, but when poor weather forced its cancellation, they were offered a place on another tour that very night instead.

It proved to be the best twist of fate imaginable.

After hours driving into the snowy wilderness, the sky suddenly came alive. Bands of green and colour danced overhead as the Northern Lights appeared in all their brilliance.

Luke suggested they take a photo together.

As Zoe turned towards him, expecting nothing more than another holiday photo, she was completely caught by surprise.

Before she realised what was happening, Luke was down on one knee.

Surrounded by one of nature's most extraordinary spectacles, she said yes.

"It was the most perfect, unforgettable moment and one we'll cherish forever."

The Ring

Luke chose the engagement ring himself, wanting it to remain a complete surprise.

While Zoe had always been drawn to both marquise and oval diamonds, she intentionally avoided narrowing down exactly what she wanted. Instead, she trusted Luke completely, giving him the freedom to choose a ring that reflected not only her style, but theirs as a couple.
