Some love stories are written slowly over time, growing quietly alongside friendship, shared memories, and a deep sense of familiarity. For Chloe and Jacob, their story began long before romance — built on years of knowing one another, side by side.
Their Story
Chloe and Jacob grew up together through their local church community, their friendship forming in the simplest of ways — conversations as teenagers, shared moments, and a connection that naturally deepened over time.
From discussing episodes of Survivor to standing at the altar, their journey reflects a love that evolved gradually, grounded in friendship and strengthened by years of shared life.
The Proposal
On what began as a cold, wet and dreary July day, Jacob took Chloe to Mount Osmond for a picnic — despite the less-than-ideal weather.
Completely unaware of what was to come, Chloe followed along, navigating the rain and the climb to one of their favourite spots. When they finally arrived, Jacob revealed something deeply personal — a handmade deck of cards.
Years earlier, he had created a custom deck when he first asked Chloe out. It had become a running joke between them that he would have to do it again when he proposed.
And he did.
As they flipped through the cards, revisiting memories and moments from their relationship, the emotion of it all became overwhelming. Tears were shed, laughter followed, and in that quiet moment, Jacob asked Chloe to marry him.
She said yes.
And just as the moment settled, the rain cleared and a rainbow appeared across the sky — a detail that felt almost too perfect to be planned.

The Wedding Day
Date: 28 March 2026
Ceremony: Life Christian Centre
Reception: Ikos — Sunnybrae Estate
Chloe and Jacob envisioned a wedding that felt classic and elegant, yet still modern, cool and entirely reflective of who they are as a couple.
Their ceremony took place in the church that had been such a significant part of their lives growing up — adding a deep layer of meaning to the day.
The reception at Ikos brought a contrasting European-inspired atmosphere, with a relaxed yet refined aesthetic. Styling was intentionally simple, allowing the space to speak for itself — single-stem florals, soft candlelight, and carefully considered statement details.

The Jewellery
Chloe wore a custom-designed platinum crossover engagement ring, paired with both her wedding band and Jacob’s, all created at James Thredgold.
Her only other jewellery was her mother’s pearl earrings — her “something borrowed,” adding sentiment and family connection to her look.

Why This Design
Chloe had long been drawn to bold, distinctive designs — something that felt expressive and full of personality.
The crossover style stood out for its uniqueness and presence, allowing her engagement ring to shine while her wedding band remained simple and complementary.

Special Details
Both wedding bands are engraved on the inside, holding a private reminder of their wedding date — a detail that adds intimacy to the pieces.
“It’s not just jewellery — it’s a constant reminder of the love I have for my husband, the love he has for me, and the most special day of our lives.”
Advice for Other Couples
“It truly is all about you. Trends come and go, but your jewellery is something you’ll wear forever.”
