While consumers may often justify purchasing synthetic stones as more environmentally friendly, this may not be true since a large portion of the market relies on coal-fired power plants in their production process. At the end of the day, authenticity seems to be a driving force in both the demand for diamonds and the passion with which real diamond purveyors conduct their business.
